Recovery Skills & Leadership Training

Recovery Skills & Leadership Training strengthens recovery, workforce readiness, and peer leadership. Through our THRIVE cohort model, we provide structured training and mentorship for mothers in recovery—offering practical tools, leadership development, and pathways toward employment and reunification.

Our courses are open statewide and tailored to peer professionals. Over the Influence Recovery is CalMHSA-approved to provide Continuing Education (CE) hours for California’s Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists (CMPSS).

Peer Support Specialist Training

Hope as an Ethical Value - Code of Ethics for Peer Support Specialists 

Hope changes lives, and as peer support specialists, it’s our duty to carry it with integrity.

This 1.5-hour self-paced course teaches Peer Support Specialists how to ethically inspire hope, hold hope for others, and share lived experience in ways that support dignity, self-determination, and recovery.

Eligible for 1.5 hours of Law & Ethics CE credit for CMPSS.

Empowering peer supporters in SUD (Substance Use Disorder) recovery with tools, confidence, and certification-aligned skills.

Digital Literacy 101

A foundational training designed for peer support specialists and individuals in recovery. Learn how to:

  • Organize digital files

  • Navigate internet browsers

  • Use free productivity tools (Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc.)

  • Recognize common online scams

Who it’s for: Peer support specialists and participants who want to strengthen digital confidence.
Outcome: Practical digital skills to support professional and personal growth.
